The Department of Neighborhood and Business Development for the City of Syracuse is proposing to use the CARES ACT CDBG-V3 funds to address urgent need in our community. Please view plans here:
UD has approved a not less than 5-day public comment period for CDBG-V3 funds. The comment period for CDBG-V3 funds will begin on December 28, 2020 and end on January 5, 2021, which will allow the public to make comments or suggestions regarding COVID-19 related needs and use of these funds. NBD invites you to a public WebEx hearing to be held on obtain additional comments regarding COVID-19 related needs and use of these funds on:

Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement (FGEIS)
Five Year Consolidated Action Plan (2020-2024)The
draft of the Consolidated Action Plan describes and outlines how the
City will address Syracuse's housing and community development needs,
goals, and objectives as determined by the City and its citizens for the
next five years. The 30 day COMMENT PERIOD begins on Monday, February 3, 2020 and will be open until Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

The Department of Neighborhood and business Development (NBD) has completed the 30 day comment period and NBD held a Public Hearing on February 13th, 2019 at 5PM. The Common Council held a Public Meeting to vote on the submission of the 2019 – 2020 Annual Action Plan, March 13th, 2019 at 5:30PM.

Year 44 (2018-2019) CAPER DRAFT
Year 43 (2017-2018) A public meeting was held on Wednesday, August
15th, 2018 at 4 p.m. in the Atrium, City Hall Commons, 201 E. Washington
Street, Syracuse, NY 13202. At this meeting, NBD reported on its performance
for Year 43 (2017-2018) and heard comments and recommendations from citizens and
stakeholders pertaining to the expenditure of funds for programs serving

Final 2018-20 UNSAAC Funding Recommendations
The City of Syracuse
is happy to announce the award recipients for the University
Neighborhood
Service Agreement Advisory Committee(UNSAAC) funding allocation. The
allocations represent the full amount to be received over a 2-year
period for a total of $750,000 of local grant funding. Click here for the
