    CARES ACT - ESG/CDBG-CV Plan
    During this current public health crisis, it is critical we do everything possible to ensure the health and safety of those most vulnerable to prepare, prevent and respond to COVID-19. The Department of Neighborhood and Business Development for the City of Syracuse is proposing to use the ESG & CDBG-CV funds to address urgent need in our community. Please view plan here.

    FINAL 2020-21 (UNSAAC) Funding Recommendations
     The allocations represent the full amount to be received over a one year period  for a total of $375,000 of local grant funding.  A PUBLIC MEETING will be held on Monday,  June 15th, 2020 at 5:00PM.

     The University Neighborhood Service Agreement Advisory Committee (UNSAAC) 2020-2021 Request for Proposal 
    All non-profit organizations may submit an application for funding for a project or program within the service agreement borders (as shown in application). If your organization is not a 501c, an existing non-profit may be used as a fiscal sponsor for the program/project. Apply here

    Five Year Consolidated Action Plan (2020-2024)


    The draft of the Consolidated Action Plan describes and outlines how the City will address Syracuse's housing and community development needs, goals, and objectives as determined by the City and its citizens for the next five years. The 30 day COMMENT PERIOD begins on Monday, February 3, 2020 and will be open until Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

    The Department of Neighborhood and Business Development announces the final Fifth Annual Action Plan for Year 45 (May 1st, 2019 – April 30th, 2020) to the public .To download a copy of the Final Fifth Annual Action Plan click here.     The Department of Neighborhood and business Development (NBD) has completed the 30 day comment period and NBD held a Public Hearing on February 13th, 2019 at 5PM. The Common Council held a Public Meeting to vote on the submission of the 2019 – 2020 Annual Action Plan, March 13th, 2019 at 5:30PM.

    Year 44 (2018-2019) CAPER DRAFT

     

    Year 43 (2017-2018) A public meeting was held on Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 at 4 p.m. in the Atrium, City Hall Commons, 201 E. Washington Street, Syracuse, NY 13202. At this meeting, NBD reported on its performance for Year 43 (2017-2018) and heard comments and recommendations from citizens and stakeholders pertaining to the expenditure of funds for programs serving eligible populations in the City’s Revitalization areas.     FINAL 2018-20 (UNSAAC) Funding Recommendations
    The City of Syracuse is happy to announce the award recipients for the University Neighborhood Service Agreement Advisory Committee(UNSAAC) funding allocation. The allocations represent the full amount to be received over a 2-year period  for a total of $750,000 of local grant funding.
